Heirloom Highlight: The Cantor Suite

Congratulations to Danny & Erica, who are our dear friends and got married this weekend. Hooray! Danny was my husband's first partner on the job, and the two of them have remained close friend ever since. When Mike and I got married, Danny was one of the groomsmen, and my husband was so honored to stand up there with Danny for his big day on Saturday.

I had the absolute pleasure of creating a custom invitation suite for Danny and Erica, and I loved that they pushed the envelope while still remaining distinctly classic. No wonder we're all friends - we've got similarly fantastic style! We knew that, overall, we wanted the invitation to be crisp black and white, with a few touches of aqua, and hints of playful romance. Having a deep, solid black was important, so I decided to use black foil instead of letterpress. The foil gave the crispness that Danny and Erica wanted, and the matte finish kept it from looking metallic. The result was a stunning, tailored impression. And the pops of letterpress aqua? I mean, come one, what's better than a classic monogram with a touch of color? We tied in the color again at the bottom of the invitation where it said "love, laughter, and happily ever after", which is a nod to Danny, who always calls Erica his princess. I just love that so, so much. The aqua colored showed up again on a small card used to let guests know about accommodations and transportation.

You've repeatedly heard me gush about my love for digitally printed (ahem, affordable) information cards in a complimentary color, and I think the Cantor suite perfectly displays how a tiny additional investment can be both functional AND a thought-out design element.

I couldn't think of a better way to recover on the Monday after Danny and Erica's wedding than by sharing their custom letterpress and foil stamped wedding invitations. Congratulations again you two, we love you both!
