Heirloom Highlight: Port Invitation Featured on Elizabeth Ann Design

I often wish I could do my wedding day over, and over, and over, and over again? Not because I didn't like my wedding, quite the opposite, actually! I LOVED everything about my wedding - the colors, the location, the style, the MAN, the guests, the vendors. Truly, I loved everything. What's really surprising to me is that my style hasn't changed all that much over the years either. I mean, there are a few things I might do differently now - thanks to some new trends and the brilliance I've been inspired by on Pinterest and Instagram. So, yes, I often wish I could have my same wedding day, over and over, and just slightly tweak it, for the sake of creativity, each time.

But alas, I cannot realistically have a wedding every year. Total let down, no?

Lucky for me, though, I kind of got to do the next best thing! I reached out to the talented Ashley of Dulce Dream Events and asked if she's be interested in collaborating on a styled shoot that was sort of exactly what I would want to do for myself if I were to get married again. On the water, Long Island (Harbor Club at Prime is kind of a big deal!), softest blues, sweetest whites, touches of classic, hints of modern, and oh so soft. I nearly jumped out of my chair with excitement when Ashley shared my vision and wanted to do the shoot!

We worked with the dream team to bring this editorial shoot to life! CJ, of Charlie Juliet Photography, took the most amazing pictures, and we were all THRILLED to see the shoot featured on Elizabeth Ann Design last week! You can see all the beautiful images here.

I love ALL the details, but absolutely cannot get over the sea glass place cards showcasing Charmaine's calligraphy! And the THREE incredible Bhldn dresses? OH! And how about the wine favors? I gave wine as a favor at my wedding, too. There were several times throughout the day that I tried to steal the soft blue textured silk linens, imagining them instead as a duvet. They were THAT beautiful. If you were able to gather scent through an image, you'd also notice that the centerpiece and bouquet featured fresh mint, eucalyptus, and lavender, which were the perfectly organic pairing for white and blue hydrangea, peonies, and roses.

Lastly, we used the Port invitation, silk screen printed in silver and dusty blue. The Port invitation is part of the new Calligraphy Collection and showcases the most lovely modern style calligraphy from Charmaine of Everly, Calligraphy.

I could clearly go on and on about this shoot (and about my own wedding...siiiiigh), but instead I'll leave it here. With a link to see more lovely images over at Elizabeth Ann Designs.
